Eye tests
We offer tailored eye tests for patients of all ages and with diverse eye care needs. Our price list below should cover most types of appointment but please ask if you are not sure what you require.
We are very happy to be able to offer state of the art Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scanning for a small extra fee. This incredible technology gives us a vastly enhanced view of the inside of the eye and is invaluable for screening and diagnosis of a range of eye conditions including macular degeneration and glaucoma. Children’s annual eye tests and glasses are covered by the NHS voucher system. It is recommended to have your child’s eyes tested on starting school and earlier if there is any indication of an eye issue.
We have a range of child friendly tests using pictures and 3d images to help everyone feel comfortable. We try to make children’s tests as relaxed and fun as possible and if we are unable to do everything in one appointment we are always happy to revisit anything we can’t do on another day.
Contact lenses
New to contact lenses and looking for the flexibility of going without glasses? We can provide lenses to suit most prescriptions. We will take the time to discuss all the different options to find the products most suited to your needs. You will be taught how to handle and care for your lenses and if possible will be given some lenses to try out at home.
If you are an existing lens wearer we can check that you are wearing the most suitable product for your prescription and eye health. Bring your lens packaging and case to the appointment and we will advise you of your best options going forward.
We can offer the convenience of lens replacement schemes if you would like to pay by standing order and have your lenses and solutions either ordered into store for regular collection or delivered to your home.

We are Essilor Experts and fit and supply the world leading Varilux and Transitions lenses. We can advise on a huge range of lens types, tints and coatings to best suit your lifestyle.
Sports Eyewear
Whatever your sport there is an eyewear option to make sure you can perform your best. From swim goggles to wrap around cycling specs we have a number of sports eyewear options available to view in store or to order from our suppliers.
Accessories
We stock a range of eye drops and eye care products for conditions such as dry eye and blepharitis as well as eye supplements. We also have a small range of magnifiers you can try out in store as well as glasses chains and cords to keep your specs always on hand.
